Installation overview
Let the exhaust system cool fully before starting. Spray penetrating oil on the mounting bolts ahead of time — they're often heavily corroded on older lifts. Support the muffler while removing the last bolt so it doesn't drop, then install the new unit in the reverse order and check for exhaust leaks at the joints once the engine's running.
