The Nissan H20 is a workhorse LPG/gas engine found across a wide range of forklift brands that used Nissan power plants. If yours is smoking, low on compression, or drinking oil, a standard-size ring set (part 12033-K7201) is the most common fix short of a full rebuild.
Signs your H20 needs new rings
- Visible smoke from the exhaust, particularly blue/gray smoke
- Oil level dropping faster than normal between checks
- Failing or borderline compression test results
- Power loss under load despite a recent tune-up
Standard size vs. oversize
This is a standard size ring set, meaning it's correct for an engine that hasn't had its cylinders bored oversize. If your H20 has already been rebuilt with an oversize bore, you'll need the corresponding oversize ring set instead — check your engine's rebuild history or measure the bore before ordering.

Installation overview
Like most piston ring jobs, this requires pulling the head and removing each piston/rod assembly to access the ring grooves. Clean carbon buildup from the grooves, check each new ring's end gap against Nissan spec before installing, and use a ring compressor when reinstalling the pistons into the bores. Replace the head gasket while you're in there.
